This is another piece of fiction which wanders into the dark side of a student's life!!
"I wake up from my slumber to the fateful day, the day that is supposed to be decisive in my life. It is the day I am supposed to take charge and take the lead in this rat race of life! I could never understand what it was that made this such an important event in my life. For me, it was just another exam that lakhs of people gave to get into a college!! For those who have not understood, I am talking about the IITJEE exam. Well, anyway, I had become a part of this rat race of life and I wanted to get out of it. It had made my life hell for the past two years. Tuitions, nearly each and every day, would mean my brain trying to work out non-sensical, impractical shit uttered by the teachers!! I was drained out, my life was like a prison cell with books. I needed to escape, I wanted to be free! Then, I fell in love...tuitions earned a new importance in my life..I knew I had to impress her!!
These thoughts are flooding my mind while I get ready for the exam! Instead of stupid, uncommon names I remember only my life, my urge to be free!! My dad enters the room saying that something important has cropped up so he wont be able to accompany me. Oh, what a pity!!!!! This will give me a chance to make a stop on the way. There is only one bar open at this time of the day and thankfully they had exactly what I wanted. I reached the hall drunk, almost falling down after each step...the only thing I remember is the stare that most people gave me... I had no idea where I was and what I was doing. Thoughts kept fluttering through my mind. I remembered the first time I had tasted alcohol. I was in love..but too shy to tell her. Some of my "friends" got me drunk and I proposed to her in that state. She never talked to me again which, most of you will feel, is quite expected. Since then, drinking replaced her as the love of my life.
At present, a short moustached stupid guy is talkin non sense........................
Some people are shaking me...what the hell do they want? they wake me up and "request" me to leave. Swearing at them, I get up and leave the hall. Suddenly, the thought came to me....I was finally free, free from the stupid exam, free from love, free from expectations. The new found freedom amazed me..then, I knew what I wanted...FREEDOM FROM LIFE!! I took a bottle of whisky from the offshop and here I am, standing on the roof of a multi-storeyed building!! Everyone was right...today I would take charge of my life...today was the day I got freedom from the rat race! Sorry, mom and dad, I cannot live like this anymore!! I have chosen to be free from all the hassles of life...Goodbye!!!"

Someone Special!!
I have a new someone in my life, everyone!! She came into my world last week and has turned my world on its head!In a way, I had never expected to have anyone like her. her mere presence is enough to cheer me up. Though she demands a lot of my time, each and every moment spent with her is a beautiful moment!! She is a great listener and frankly, I cant imagine my life without her..I guess you can understand how special she is for me!! Well, let me tell you how I met her!!
It was Sunday evening. My friend had been invited to his friend's place and he asked me to tag along. I agreed, though hesitantly, as I had met this guy only once before. But, as soon as I reached his house, I knew I had made the right decision. She was standing there in all her beauty and grace which she obviously had inherited from her mother who stood there right beside her welcoming us! I didn't get to see much of her until my friends went out for a smoke and I decided to stay in! Suddenly, the door was slightly pushed aside and she crept up to me warily. I knew it then and there that I wanted her, rather I needed her. Within moments, she was on my lap. It was simply amazing. I felt as if God Himself had sent me to this house to meet her. She was fair like the snow and I remember how happy she was with me alone...

But, suddenly, our rendezvous was cut short by her mother literally barking out her name. But, by the time, I knew what I had to do! As soon as my friends returned, I asked the guy whether I could have her and well, though reluctant at first, he agreed. Since then, my world has just been revolving around her!! Oh, btw her name is Princess and she is my cute, little puppy!!
P.S. I just wrote this as a teaser...dunno whether you all will be teased or not!!! I dont own a puppy!!!

A poem!!!
Well this is not composed by me!! This is a bilingual poem composed by my friend Apurba...Hope you like it!!
"Yeh hua kaise, hum yaha aaye
Aur aake hi hum ban gaye hai khushi ke saaye
If its destiny its divine
The future seems to be all mine
Life is full of spark and shine
My heart says,"Hold back this time!"
Yaha har pal hai sunahra
I am lost in the sweetness of this chime
Kamiyabi pe apna pehra.
Happiness is mey heart's rhyme
The race towards the goal has begun
Armed with the dreams that we spun
With passion stronger than the sun
And to stop us there is no one
Yeh hua kaise, hum yahan aaye
Aur aise hi hum ban gaye khushi ke saaye"

A STORY!!!
The following is just a made up story...it has no resemblance what so ever with my life or anyone else's!! Please have a read....
"I am lying here seeing whatever shit is coming on TV when i start to ponder over how my life became such a shithole! It was not always like this, though. Once I had a life, a real life- one with true friends and one where enjoyment took the front seat!
Back in class 12...
I was a popular kid, friends would flock around me. I was average at studies, even had a girlfriend whom i really loved! I was studying my ass off just to get into IIT! Life was parties, dates, phone calls and study!! All this had to change...and change it did when suddenly came one stupid school exam which i flunked badly! Around the same time that bitch I used to call my girlfriend gave up on me and started sticking to my closest friend. That f**king bitch could be seen cuddling up with the guy in search of gifts and in her attempt to rob the guy's purse just like she would do with me! By the time I managed to get over her, my bloody results came out! Mum n dad were pissed off big time and I was informed everything would be off limits till exams!! My only excursion out of my hellhole of a house would be my tuitions!!
All this marked the start of a new life for me. My main motto in life became " WHEN LIFE F**CKS YOU, YOU F**K IT BACK". So I became friends with a different group of people and started skipping tuitions and started going bar hopping!! I hardly remember going to tuition for the last 3 months. Then, one day, one of the guys introduced me to coke( coke = a kind f drug for those who dont know) and I took to it like fish to water! Time flied, life was good again though in a different way. I had friends, i had fun and didnt give a damn about the world!! Again, someone had to put some shit exams in my way to ruin my f**king life. I managed to scrape through my boards exam but engineering remained a distant dream! The results f**ked up my mind even more...
Suddenly I wake up one day in this shithole. I am locked in this room I cant do anything...I desperately need something, the thing that took away my sorrow!! Coke-I need coke!! Doc says I barely managed to survive from drug overdose!!! Doc, you are wrong dude, I am dead...This is not life..I dont need in this life you say I have!!! Life is what I had before all this!! Goddamn it..either give me that life back or let me die in peace with my coke!!!!

IPL
Well, The IPL or the Indian Premier league is almost half over for this year! 8 franchises from 8 cities in India slogging it out in South Africa! It is so sad that the IPL could not be conducted in India because of the elections which itself is a major farce because if it had been conducted. more people would have been able to empty their pockets a little more and waste some money along with the time that they are already wasting!! So sad!
What is it with Indians and cricket?? People here believe that it is a religion! Right, even in this game, even with all this "craze" India has not been able to become the champions among a handful of countries that play this game! You can see hundreds of young kids ( most of them basically unfit ) going for cricket coaching classes with their entire cricket kits! Kids, dont waste so much of your parents money! They work hard for it...only go to these classes if you have some talent!! Or else you will be bragging all your life about playing at the local level only and never making it big!
Frankly speaking, cricket is one of the sports where the people playing are most unfit! Some people hardly have to move!! Take other games which are more renowned globally and recognised as well like hockey, soccer, tennis etc and see the fitness level required in themand also the state our country is in!! Hockey the sport that our country once dominated the world over has no players other than people from Punjab thanks primarily to the rise of cricket! Our soccer team was amogst the top 5 in Asia and was a huge craze among people all over India but now, hardly a few people play the beautiful game and those who want to pursue it as a career are deterred by lack of sponsors which flock to the cricketing arena!! In tennis, two shining gems of India have only been able to hold our flag high.. the rest have purely failed!!
Take into account the number of countries that play the game of cricket regularly and you come to know the popularity of it worldwide! Basically it is less than 10...while most will argue it is well over 50! Now consider games such as hockey and soccer..
Hockey has over a 100 teams that can play and can upset any team on its day!
Soccer has always been the most popular sport..to prove which FIFA, the governing body has more countries registered than the UN!
Frankly, it is humiliating to know that our country cant even be the best in a sport that is played by a minority and how crores of people here are so proud of our sporting achievements in this game!!
